Who is Randy Almeida Couto?
I’m a Montreal-native business professional, consulting agency owner, skincare brand founder, and self-proclaimed Goal Digger. I have been working in the professional space for over a decade in marketing, leadership, and project management roles.
What’s the story behind Viber Consulting Group?
Viber Consulting Group came about because I was working in the agency space. I loved doing it, but I also felt like there was a “partnership” aspect missing which is why I started my consultancy, where and anyone that works with me could partner and be an extension of our clients’ business as opposed to just being a separate entity looking for a paycheck.
What was the most difficult part of your experience in the early beginnings?
The hardest part for me was that I started my business in the middle of a global pandemic. I told my boss about it 24-hours before the world shut down and declared COVID-19 a pandemic. I kept my head up and pushed through it, and refused to let the pandemic mess with my goals.
What are you most proud of regarding your business?
I’m extremely proud of the growth! I never thought that I would be able to start a business and be over a year in and still have no had to pay for any leads whatsoever. Relying solely on word-of-mouth proves that I have succeeded in being a valuable member for my clients.
What is your vision for the future of Viber Consulting Group?
My vision is to continue doing what I’m doing and continuing to add value to every business that I work with.
What’s your advice for the businesses that are trying to adapt to this economic climate?
Honestly, the best advice I can give is to ride it like a wave. I believe someone who will be successful in this climate stays on top of their game and doesn’t let all the outside distractions impact them and their goals.
Please name a few technologies which have the greatest impact on your business.
Because I work a lot with eCommerce and retailers, any technology that can enhance the user experience could be beneficial for my business. Right now, I’m really interested on AI as I think it could play a huge role in retail and online shopping, especially post-pandemic.
What books do you have on your nightstand?
Right now, I have two that I alternate on. I have “Beloved” by Toni Morrison and I also have “Scale of Fail” by Allison Maslan.
Because of the current economic climate our publication has started a series of discussions with professional individuals meant to engage our readers with relevant companies and their representatives in order to discuss their involvement, what challenges they have had in the past and what they are looking forward to in the future. This sequence aims to present a series of experiences, recent developments, changes and downsides in terms of their business areas, as well as their goals, values, career history, the high-impact success outcomes and achievements.
